Our story
Uncle's shop on the Walthamstow high street
If you grew up on light soup and kelewele, you shouldn't have to hunt for the ingredients.
We opened Uncle's Market so Ghanaians in London, and anyone else who loves West African food, have somewhere to buy the ingredients properly.
That means goat and beef cut for soup, smoked herrings and kako, puna yam, green and ripe plantain, shito, and spices like prekese and hwentia. Stock comes in every week. If you can't see what you need, ask us. We may have it in the back.
We also supply other shops with our products, in Edmonton, Peckham, Brixton and further afield.
